Alan is the Head of Programme for Health and Wellbeing at City Lit and previously Curriculum Manager for Hair, Beauty and Complementary Therapies at City and Islington College.

He is a  professional educationalist and manger with 25 years’ experience in Adult and Further Education, developing and teaching a wide range of accredited complementary therapy programmes.

Alan has 25 years’ experience in practicing a wide variety of alternative and complimentary therapies, ranging from Ayurveda, Beauty, Sports Therapies and mainstream western therapies.

He collaborates with awarding bodies, such as ITEC in developing accredited course programmes.

Alan has over 20 years experience of monitoring high level standards and maintaining quality in educational settings, specifically in health-related programmes.

He is an Associate Member of APPG – BAW.  In The All-Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) he is responsible for providing recommendations to the government and reporting on the value of complementary therapies in society.

He is dedicated to making complementary therapies accessible to all.
